If you are a landlord of a Swansea property with an existing Assured Shorthold Tenancy (AST), signed prior to 1 December 2022, then you will need to provide the contract-holder(s) with a written statement of the converted contract by the 31 May 2023.

A converted contract strikes a balance between the required terms necessary for the occupation contract to operate under the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016, whilst making specific provision for some existing terms of your original tenancy to be maintained within the converted contract.

We’ve helped hundreds of our Swansea landlords become complaint throughout 2023. If you need assistance in issuing a written statement to you contract-holder(s), please contact our team to discuss as the 31st May deadline is imminent!
